Marking the 10th anniversary of ANOTHER SPACE, PhotographyTruth or Dare brings together works from the EBB Collection that challenge the traditional role of photography as a vehicle for documentation and representation. Featuring contributions from over 20 artists spanning multi-generations, the exhibition critically reexamines photography’s purported neutrality and its capacity to construct, mediate. and reimagine our perception of reality.

Bringing together photographic prints, painting, sculpture, and hybrid forms, the exhibition highlights practices that situate photography within radically expanded and interdisciplinary frameworks. The featured artists embrace the medium’s social, political, and aesthetic potential, mobilizing it as a site of critical investigation.

Central to the exhibition is the relationship between the recorded image, the constructed nature of its manipulation, the performative roles of both photographer and subject, and the sculptural nature of the photographic object. Presenting diverse artistic strategies—including digital and analog manipulation, archival appropriation, and generative technologies—the artists in this exhibition explore themes of identity, memory, and illusion within the context of a media-driven, post-truth era.

ANOTHER SPACE is a not-for-profit program established by the Daniel and Estrellita B. Brodsky Family Foundation. Founded by art historian and collector Estrellita B. Brodsky, the program is dedicated to building recognition and international awareness of artists from Latin America and of Latin heritage living in the United States.
